Jewelry Care
HOW SHOULD I STORE MY JEWELRY?
We advise maintaining your pieces in the jewelry pouch you are provided with upon delivery. Store each piece individually to avoid scratching. The jewelry pouches are also great to use while traveling to protect your jewelry.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY JEWELRY?
We suggest you remove your jewelry while showering, swimming, and exercising. Please avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, or hair products as they contain chemicals and oils that can increase the wear on your pieces. Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, oil, jewelry cleaners, this can affect the finishing.
Avoid the five S’s:
- Sleep – never sleep while wearing your pieces.
- Shower – avoid water. Do not shower/bathe with your pieces.
- Sprays – avoid perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, etc.
- Sweat – try to avoid wearing your pieces while working out and/or to the gym.
- Swim – take off pieces before going to the pool. Chlorine or saltwater pools can affect your pieces.
CAN I SHOWER OR SWIM WITH MY JEWELRY?
For best care, we suggest and encourage to not shower or swim with your items. Keep them in a cool dry place and remove before bathing.
Wearing solid gold jewelry, white gold or yellow gold, and gold filled in the shower will not harm the metal itself, however it can reduce the shine therefore it is not recommended. Showering with gold plated jewelry can eventually cause the gold layer to wear off completely, therefore you should definitely refrain from doing so.
MY JEWELRY IS TURNING COLOR, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
Every person’s unique skin-oils react differently to certain metals and plating. We are not responsible for your skin's reaction to our products. Gold Plated jewelry will turn naturally over time, and there is no way to reverse this. You can prolong the life of your pieces by following our care recommendations as mentioned above.
WHAT SHOULD I USE TO CLEAN MY JEWELRY?
For best cleaning practices we suggest using warm water and detergent-free soap then polish and dry gently with a jewelry polishing cloth to avoid scratching.
